The Afghan School

One day not long ago, I picked up a paper and read about a school in Afghanistan. The school had thousands of willing, motivated students that were attempting to share a few obsolete computers and an overburdened internet connection.

This school was one of the few public places where women can access the internet. It was probably the only place where they could access it for free in the city of Kandahar.

The school was under siege. The principal, its teachers and its students were under threat of death, simply because they wanted to provide both men and women with an education.

I wanted to help.

Please, stay and have a look around. I hope that you’ll decide that you want to help, too. There are many ways that you can help, and most won’t cost you a penny.
