ACCC Mourns the Death of King Zahir Shah

On behalf of the Afghan-Canadian Community Center’s staff, its students and on my own behalf, I would like to express my deepest sorrow and sadness over the death of our nation (Afghanistan’s) last King late Mohammad Zahir Shah Da Millat Baba. We term him a leader of great stature. We pay our great tribute to the late monarch, who reigned over a long period of peace and development.

His contribution to peace, stability and welfare of Afghanistan were propounded. The King was a man of peace who led the nation of Afghanistan with wisdom and sagacity in difficult times spanning over four decades.

In the departure of King Zahir Shah, we have lost a statesman of great stature, whose commitment and contribution to peace, stability and welfare of Afghanistan and the region will be remembered for long.

May Allah Almighty bless his noble soul and give comfort and solace to the bereaved family and the Afghan nation. In this hour of grief, the staff and the students of ACCC are with the Royal Family.

On behalf of the ACCC, once again, I would like to convey our profound condolences to the Royal Family and the proud and brave nation of Afghanistan. We at ACCC share the grief and sense of loss with our Royal Family. We are holding regular prayers for the eternal peace of the departed soul of the King.
