Here is a collection of student essays written on the subject of peace to commemorate the Peace Day ceremonies held at the Afghan-Canadian Community Center (ACCC). I hope you will join me in thanking the students for their hard work on these essays, and for their continued courage under difficult circumstances.

Peace is not merely absence of war and conflict between or within nations, but also the presence of compassion, cooperation, love and justice. Peace is the first and utmost requirement for a nation to move towards prosperity and development. Peace is the foundation for a safe environment for development, education and progress and without peace there is no viable future for humankind. History has proven that all the peaceful countries are prosperous and well developed. On the other hand a country where, there is war has only faced destruction, misery, bloodshed and suffering. As an example, our own country Afghanistan has experienced these situations throughout the decades of civil war and conflicts which were brought about the injustice, hatred, poverty and desire for power.

One thing that all of us realize is that we are tired of war and conflicts and we all want peace, regardless of the age, race, religion, nationality and gender. Now the question is how to achieve peace? First we should start from ourselves, by treating others the way we want to be treated, with respect and dignity. Then we should train our children and teach them to respect and love others. Positive thoughts promote positive outcomes and if you share peace it will spread. We should not be so concerned with our nationality, religion and race; instead we should think of each others’ problems as our own and think good of all on humanitarian basis.

If all the nations work together they can accomplish many objectives they want to. They could reduce poverty, create jobs and work towards common goals, justice worldwide, ending starvation, build a world economy, pollution control and then the world would become a more wonderful place to live in.

Peace is the biggest and greatest gift and blessing of life. If there is no peace in a country there is nothing in that country at all so peace is the first dream of life. How does peace come? It comes when all the people get together and work hard for the welfare of that country. If or when a president is elected by the majority of the people that people should not hope to have peace. The nominative president be likely a symbol not a real president. If we realy want peace we should be realy patriots, then peace will come in short time. Peace is not afish to catch it by bate or take it by deception of the fish. I thank peace is a flying brid and knows the net or snare to deceive the wise and thoghtful bird when they got satisfaction they will come down to find grains they can eat and that is clear right to every one at the world so peace neccesary to every living creatures at peace.

We could save our mother land.

If no peace, no enjoyment of life, no smile on our face. Come on to bring and keep peace at our home streets at our city evant at our country and also we should the same Mr Ehsan, the head administrator of the ACCC, who is much experienced and well trained, educated and very kind, and who that strives to find good, useful and vital ways for his students to achieve different knowledge and skills.

It is the good guideness of the chief or leader that is brings up good otherwise some of the students will spend their time lavishly and learn nothing. Also, Mr Ehsan teaches us English language and management too – that seems very simple to some but realy that is rather complicated system becouse while a person teaching English class and manage meant mean while administering the course, he also explained grammar, idioms, similies and other properties of the English language.

At least I appreciate him and appreciate this chosen way to finding good and useful activities for the students of Kandahar, especially in these vocations.

Peace is a state of well being that is characterize by trust, compassion, and justice in this state, we can be encouraged to explore as well as part of the human family, part of one world. Peace is the thing that we can stand on or be alive on that. Peace can make human life better or worse and we should try alot for it (1)Education (2) Agreement (3) Culture (4) Environment. If we have all of them of course we can improve our country. Without peace the world is like a wild jungle where there is no justice and mercy. Peace is the word that every one can get happiness from.

Before all we have to know what the word peace mean. Peace is a word that is uttered almost frequently as friendship, freedom, good relations, understanding, calm, quiet and silence.

It’s defending all the nations, it’s uniting all the people so give it a chance and it will be yours. It can work with you not against you, because we should be like loving sister and brother working together not against each other.

Peace is something that should be treasured because it has great value to everyone and everything. Peace is something the world should share. Its all about loving – we dare you to care.

This is enough in this 23-24 years we are spectators and progeny of war in our country. We have seen how many of women become window and how many of children become orphan and how many of parents lose their sons and how many of sister lose their brothers.

I have seen a mother who loses her 4 sons once even though she didn’t see her sons die or their bodies. She was just living for her grandsons and granddaughters.

So let’s think for one minute in place of her. If we can’t give her sons back but we can bring smile in lips of her and her grandsons and granddaughters. They have the right to have peaceful life. What do you think, that they don’t want a peaceful life as that of a child who lives in European countries? From my mother womb I come out yelling for life. It’s great that I am surviving but there’s no peace.

And I think Afghans want to cooperate with the international community to make the current process successful in Afghanistan, even if we have more suicide bombings, car bombings or roadside bombs its time to blast this myth at the root and reveal these crimes for what they are. It is time for agreement.

Let’s forget who I am and who you are because peace is in the waves at sea peace must begin with you and me.

Let’s forget I’m Muslim and you’re Christian or Hindu or any other religion.

Let’s forget I’m white and you’re black because peace is not about judging someone by the color of his or her skin or the difference of religion – it’s about the content of their soul. Let’s forget I’m poor and your rich, lets remove and forget about the difference, diversity of opinions. Let’s think about the child whose orphan who wants to study and go to school but because of situation and economy problems can’t.

A child who want a peaceful life and want to have a good future.

A child who had a painful life you know what children saying we don’t like it that our father must be a solider and shoot and other children’s father.

Lets give our hands together to bring peace for these children and bring smile in lips of them because if there were peace in Afghanistan around the world we would hear the sounds of joy and laughter from children.

So let the sun to shine in the darkness and please let us have peace and no more fighting.

They are still quite limited in describing both the nature of
Peace and peace making.
Therefore most address those conditions which are favorable
To their emergence, freedom, human rights, and justice are
Among such prerequisites, also included are proactive
Strategies such as conflict resolution, nonviolent action, community building, and democratization
Of authority.
The peace process additionally most acknowledge and
Contend with its alternative war because of the high value status of violence for example:
While war has brought out the worst kind of behavior
In humans it has also brought out some of the best
Aside from relieving boredom and monotony, war has been
Shown to spawn self-scarifies, loyalty, honor, heroism,
And courage, it’s well known that suicide rates
Decline during war, also war has helped to bring
About significant social changes such as
Racial and sexual, integration, freedom, democracy
And a sense of nation pride.
It was something about peace so we need to
Work hard and make high the value of peace and
Make our country well developed, civilized and more
Progressed and get our hands to stop war any more
And make a peaceful country.

Today my essay is about peace
What is peace? Peace means affection, tranquility, unity that is steady in everyone’s lives. If the country has peace that country is the best and if the country has peace so the people of that country is educated because with a good environment we can do anything. He or she can study and work hard when we have peace in that time. All the thing’s is possible but unfortunately we are so run down in terms of peace.

We aren’t stepping on it to bring more peace and make facilities. What is up in society? We don’t know.

PEACE :
P:- protection or people:- we should protect to our society because the most rule
in society to keep and conserve our people and our peace. Peace is joined with unity.

E:- Education:- If we want survive to our peace and keep flee from every danger and abandoned from treachery and bring peace happiness to in face of Afghan people. The most impotent thing is education because now education is there. We did alter the rule of society and we can bring peace between afghan communities.

A:- Agreement:- we are on time to jump to conclusion to agree with each other because agreement bring more facility and we can know some thing back ward and forward to bring smile in face of new generation. I mean of the child who they grow for second revered and reading of more peace and wither of enemy. Peace is of affable and seized for us to be always steady with each other.

C:- Community:- It’s clear every Afghan want peaceful community, so let’s make a community that will be full of happiness. The sorrow tries hard to come, but we don’t let it come. We should prove and sooth and make up one’s mind for more peaceful society.

E:- Environment:- In a peaceful environment there are no fights and disunity that time stalked by stalked we can promote our culture. Because if we have peace so we have factories that time we can use our own products. The environment needs security, peace, unity, if we have these things we can go against every enemy. Peace can bring affectionate life, peace is our desire. A real meaning of a peace is attainment of a god , Allah (j) mention’s peace is join with unity, peace is that penguin’s that have tramped walking and reveal the flag of peace in dear Afghanistan in twenty five years ago that we were immigrated all the these problem come due to absences of peace.

If there is no peace no joy of life no smile of our children. Peace is a precious worthy word the things which gone like dark night to forget. Let’s start gleeful lives with a peaceful community and get enjoyment from Peace Day. We will be happy to find this facility to celebrate Peace Day and to be happy that today Afghan people have tranquil peaceful life from today we should start a new life until by the name of violence, sorrow, treachery, battery nothing will be present in our society we are new generation, we will be make a community that will be full of peace and Afghan sister and brother get shoulder to each other. We should remain one thing peace, and education and we train the next child of this community like thoughtful enlightened peaceful person we must clever until we can make relieve free and peaceful Afghanistan today is that day which I see happiness in face of every afghan men women, child’s young and old.

At the end of my speech, I would like to say hand up hand’s to pray every day of Afghan people will be the day of peace day and Allah save all our young’s brother and hope for a day to give a hand to the the ones who really want to bring peace in Afghanistan and we are thankful for our responsible principal Mr. Ehsan to make this facility so that we can join our Peace Day with you.
