Roshan Donates High-Speed Internet Access to ACCC
Roshan, the leading GSM cellular service provider in Afghanistan, has generously agreed to provide the Afghan Canadian Community Center (ACCC) with high speed internet for the use of its students and teachers, as well as the greater Kandahar community. This donation will allow the students to make the most of more than 70 computers at the ACCC, which make up the largest series of computer labs in the province. Many of these computers were purchased with the assistance of Afghan School Project donors in Canada and around the world.

The high-speed Internet access will allow ACCC students to better study with variety of international education programs, including the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) Business Management certificate program, Canada eSchool courses at the secondary level, and one-on-one ESL tutoring with the Alliance for International Women’s Rights over Skype. The staff of the ACCC can also now communicate with its partners around the world via real-time video-conferencing.

Roshan is Afghanistan’s leading telecommunications provider and one of the country’s largest private employers. It has invested greatly towards improving Afghanistan’s socio-economic development. In addition to donating high-speed Internet to the ACCC, Roshan has also donated 18 LCD monitors and a projector. In recognition of this generous donation, the ACCC named one if the computer labs in Roshan’s honour.
“Roshan” means “light” in both Dari and Pashto, the two national Afghan languages and they have lived up to their name. Roshan is not only an important player in the developing Afghan economy, but plays an important social role as well, with women making up twenty percents of Roshan’s workforce.
The ACCC and the Afghan School Project look forward to a long and prosperous partnership with Roshan as both organizations work to provide educational and employment opportunities to the people of Afghanistan.

Our ACCC
As every one knows getting education is very difficult in kandahar city especially for Women .fortunately we got a good place by the name of ACCC which is the best center for male and female in whole kandahar .
Mean afghan Canadian community center so we can understand ACCC is a community center which is supporting by Canadian people to help afghan women to make their education stander like other countries.
ACCC has many different classes for women such as Management class which includes project management, Organizational behavior, accounting, Leadership, human resources and other classes like online courses, Colton classes’ skip classes, IT classes,
E-schooling, computer classes, English classes,
And beside of these classes we also have internet facilities that can help us in our studies and we can communicate each other by using internet
In ACCC we have qualified and experts’ teachers whom are working together for the betterment of this center. These all chances that now a day we have all are because of one person by the name of Mr. Ehsan who is the director of this center.
He always tries his best to make such kinds of education opportunities for us to develop the new generation.
This is why he is an excellent person, he is not giving up so we are thankful and proud of him because he is the one who got an honor degree from north and we are also thankful of those whom are supporting ACCC .

OUR ACCC
Getting education for women of Afghanistan is very difficult but there are a lot of students male and female who go to ACCC to get education and we have such as classes like net class computer class, business management and also English for male and female. as a result of getting education during the past 2 years a lot of student were trained and graduated and have got new jobs or have been promoted to higher position in there office. we are thankful to whole team of ACCC

This is a great Roshan is donating to ACCC, to the right cause. There is a lot need for the Internet at the ACCC. A lot of girls and women are using this internet at ACCC.
We need for our courses and improve our knowledge. Many of us are studying online classes so there is a big need .This will be very useful for us.
I think Roshan internet is better, it is a little bit slow, it is working very well, it dose not cut, it dose not stop. But there are a lot computers connected to it at ACCC so it is a bit slow. We really need more internets. Also the Roshan telephone communication services are good and very good because they don’t cut; they don’t stop in any place.
Many people are happy with Roshan telephone services. May be I well buy one Roshan SIM card very soon?
We want more business companies help our center I mean help the women in Kandahar. Women are important to make good society, good children, good family, good every thing.
This is very good Roshan Telephone company is supporting our center because Ehsan and Ehsans Canada friends will be alone to support us we the women of Kandahar. If all of you are working together, we can get more help, we can more education and more facilities and we can improve very soon.

The Large ACCC
As there are many problems in Afghanistan for women to get education but fortunately by the help of Canadian people and our director Mr.: Ehsan opened the door of education for women we have got this great opportunity to get better education in kandahar at ACC center.
ACCC Afghan-Canadian community center is donated by Canadian people
Acc trains many girls and boys in kandahar Acc center have many classes and training money students in many fields like Management, HR, e-schooling, skype, accounting, Carleton, OB, leadership, computer classes and internet facilities learning English language from foreign teachers online acc is such a large academy in all kandahar.
we all are really thankful from our donors , Mr:Ehsan and our teacher Mr:Noor Ahmad Ghalib who have devoted themselves, to have prepared this golden opportunity for kandahar women to get education in accordance with international standard yet they are contributing to the full extent of their expertise.

I just thought I should write a few sentences to thank the team members in Kandahar, Kabul, Ottawa and New York for looking after ACCC during my leave. As I watched I saw everything from Carleton e-schooling, SAIT Distance Education Program/SAIT Business Diploma Program, Skype Program, ACCC regular classes, Education Generation Program, communication and ACCC Administration activities were highly satisfactorily administered. It does seem like ACCC has got a strong and cohesive team to serve people in need without any greed and selfishness.
I also thought I should name a few members of the team who worked very hard during these few days: Hashim and Qaseem, as always, kept our 70 computers in tip top conditions everyday for students use; Shir Mohammad Kandahari fully organized and coordinated Skype classes, schedules and programs and reported that now over 40 students of ACCC are positively enrolled on Skype communication program, the English language program; Hamayoon and Esmat organized and managed ACCC activities; Dawood assisted e-schooling students with their preparation for exam; Esmat and Ilyas worked on students profiles to complete for students education sponsorship; Esmat worked on handling contract services; Ryan and Ruiz wrote proposals; Ruiz also wrote a business course curriculum; Hamayoon, Esmat and Naghma organized a slide show about an Afghan woman hero for ACCC students and families; Ahmadi Sab supervised the Helmand training program while Abdullah supervised Zabul training programs. All teachers of ACCC, despite increased heat and other challenges in Kandahar, gave full attendance to their classes and shared knowledge and information with their hundreds of fellow sisters and brothers studying at ACCC. Ehsan/myself, Ryan and Vicky directed, coordinated and closely supervised all the programs.

After joining the courses in SAIT School of business many students are able to secure highly paid jobs and with help of SAIT management courses, they got promotion and salary raise and now they are working on senior positions.
And after I did the SAIT project management course I realized the changes in myself as compared to my past life.
We hope to take active parts in rebuilding our country and help to improve our family financial situation.
Because of SAIT training course and our teachers their helping giving us assignments that really trained us to apply the benefits we got from Management and OB in our homes and in the organizations where we work.
The SAIT OB course really improved my general life, I must say.
I really learned how to behave, socialize and manage things and people.
I would like to thank SAIT Polytechnic Institute from the deepth of my hearth for working in close cooperation with the Afghan-Community center in helping to build Kandahar women capacity building and enhance women role and women in Afghan communities.
At the end special thanks to all the teachers especially to the director Mr. Ehsan and our teacher Mr. Noor Ghalib who are hardly working for the desired satisfaction of the center.

I am very proude and happy that I have been a member and contributer for ACCC.
Recently I am in India and studying BA in Mysore University and I am always sharing my those experiences that I have obtained from ACCC with my friends in here.
As I am a student in India and I am very pleased to cooperate and help with any one who would likes to know about educational fields in India.
This is my sincere request from everybody to continue their education as long as possible; moreover, we have to take more pearls form the ocean of knowledge as someone has beautifully stated that, An educated mind would not be exploited and fool.
Our society really need educated minds and professionals, especially woman because the men are the present of society while the women are the future of society to train the new generation equipted with qualities of knowledge.
