New!: The Project recently unveiled the Adopt-a-Student program, which is a great way for donors to learn more about the students they’re helping or sponsor a student in someone else’s name as a gift for a wedding, birthday or holiday. Adopt-a-Student also makes a great school or class project. To learn more, please click here.
100% of donations provided to the project go directly to the cost of operating the Afghan-Canadian Community Center (ACCC). A tax receipt will be issued for all donations of $20 or more. The Afghan School Project is a project of the Canadian International Learning Foundation, Charitable Registration # 80785 5218 RR0001.
All donations, regardless of size, are greatly appreciated and will go a long way to helping the men and women of Kandahar receive a high-quality education. On average, it only costs around $10 to $15 to send a student to school for a full month. To donate to the Afghan School Project online, please click on the “Donate” button below.
All student profiles at Education Generation* have been funded. New profiles will be posted soon – in the mean time, please donate via CanadaHelps to contribute to student scholarship.
To donate via cheque, please send a cheque payable to the Canadian International Learning Foundation to:

The Afghan School Project is a small, grassroots initiative that requires financial support from donors if we are to continue offering life-changing vocational training to students in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Your donation will go a long way to help talented, motivated Afghan students at the Afghan-Canadian Community Center (ACCC) receive the kind of valuable vocational training that is needed to secure long-term employment.
You don’t have to make a big donation to make a big difference. Here are a few examples of what operational donations to the Afghan School Project can accomplish:
$60.00 - One term (four months) of post-secondary education for a student in Kandahar
$150.00 – The purchase price of a used Pentium III computer, which can be used to help student training and provide access to the Internet
$240.00 – A year of intensive professional training, such as Business Management, complimented with additional English training.
$3000.00 – The full cost of establishing a 12 terminal computer lab with Internet access, using the power and cost-saving NComputing devices.

* Please note that donations made through Education Generation are not eligible for tax receipts at this time.
