Through the Canadian International Learning Foundation (CanILF), the Afghan School Project is always on the lookout for volunteers. CanILF is a registered Canadian charity which provides and promotes education in areas affected by war, poverty and illness. We are volunteer-run and, unless otherwise requested, all donations are used to support our projects.
We are continuously seeking volunteers in the fields of Project Management, Online Instruction (English / Computing / Business), Report Writing, Public Relations, Fundraising, Event Planning, Website Administration and Project Support We are also seeking established professionals for our Peer-to-Peer Education Program.
We provide our volunteers with mentoring and professional development training. If you feel that your skills would be of value to CanILF, please contact us at email@example.com and let us know how you would like to contribute.
HOLD AN EVENT
The Afghan School Project is always looking for fun, interesting, or meaningful opportunities to raise funds and awareness for international education. If you are interested in hosting a fundraiser or would like us to be a part of your event, please contact us. We can provide a wide range of material – from slideshows and videos to flyers and posters – to help make your event a success!
Here are a few examples of fundraisers which have been held to benefit the Canadian International Learning Foundation and have helped provide education to hundreds of students:

- St. Matthew’s High School Cake Auction
- Yuk Yuk’s “You Laugh, They Learn” Comedy Show
- Afghan School Project Charity Auction
One Hundred Percent of donations provided to the project go directly to the cost of operating the Kandahar Institute of Modern Studies (KIMS). A tax receipt will be issued for all donations of $20 or more. The Afghan School Project is a project of the Canadian International Learning Foundation, Charitable Registration # 80785 5218 RR0001.
All donations, regardless of size, are greatly appreciated and will go a long way to helping the men and women of Kandahar receive a high-quality education. You don’t have to make a big donation to make a big difference. Here are a few examples of what operational donations to the Afghan School Project can accomplish:
$60.00 – One term (four months) of post-secondary education for a student in Kandahar
$150.00 – The purchase price of a used Pentium III computer, which can be used to help student training and provide access to the Internet
$240.00 – A year of intensive professional training, such as Business Management, complimented with additional English training.
$3000.00 – The full cost of establishing a 12 terminal computer lab with Internet access, using the power and cost-saving NComputing devices.
