Director of Foreign Affairs Kandahar personally donates computer to ACCC

May 6th, 2008 No comments

Shah Ahmad Saeed, the Director of Foreign Affairs Kandahar, has generously given a high-speed computer to the Afghan-Canadian Community Center (ACCC). This computer, complete with all accessories, can be used with ACCC NComputing devices to create the equivalent of several individual computers, thus reducing the costs of both computer equipment and electricity.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Shah Ahmad Saeed for his generous donation, which will put to good use by many of our students for years to come. Each additional computer allows the ACCC to improve its ability to offer high-quality computer training, online business management courses with the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) and access to the Internet for women in Kandahar.

The Afghan School Project and IT Pro, a UK-Based business technology news source, are currently raising money to provide the Afghan-Canadian Community Centre (ACCC) with additional computer equipment, including multi-user computer devices from NComputing.

For every $200 we raise, we can effectively provide the ACCC with another computer that will help more students get access to valuable education and provide women in the Kandahar area with access to the Internet at no cost. Your donation will also be matched by a donation in equal value from the Cadmus Foundation.

To donate, please click on the link below. We’ll contact you via e-mail to arrange delivery of the card. Please write to us at [email protected] if you have any questions!
